Codesphere Developer — Fundamentals

Build, deploy, and operate real applications on Codesphere — end to end.

Format

  • Pre-reading (Modules 1–2) — self-paced, before the on-site. Platform foundations and the Workspace Toolkit.
  • On-site course (Modules 3–7) — instructor-led, five 90-minute blocks, each building one leg of a single running challenge (deploy Mealie, a real recipe-manager app, end to end):
      3. CI, Landscapes & Runtimes
      4. Managed Postgres, Networking & Monitoring
      5. Automation with the API & CLI
      6. Marketplace & Landscape-based Service Providers
      7. Building a REST-based Service Provider

What you'll be able to do

  • Explain how Workspaces, Landscapes, and Runtimes fit together, and pick the right runtime for a workload.
  • Write and iterate on a ci.yml from scratch — stages, path-based routing, environment variables, secret references.
  • Deploy a Landscape, connect a domain, and configure the access model that fits.
  • Consume Managed Services (e.g. PostgreSQL) from an application, with credentials sourced from the platform vault.
  • Turn on monitoring, read logs and health signals, and troubleshoot the common failure modes.
  • Drive Codesphere from outside the UI — the cs CLI and the Public API — and wire preview deployments to a Git provider.
  • Reason about the Managed Services catalog: landscape-based vs. REST-backed providers, and how to publish your own when your organization needs it.
